Building browser add-ons with Flutter
Chrome and Firefox are some of the most popular web browsers and we all use some or the other extension to simplify our work while using these browsers. These extensions are minor add-on applications and features that enrich our experience as a user and help us personalize and customize the way these browsers work for us, helping us to become more productive. In this session, I will give a brief overview of the architecture of web extensions and then with an example add-on built for Chrome and Firefox, I'll go through the process of building web extensions using Flutter. The talk will also focus on the security aspect of web extensions as many add-ons store sensitive, personally identifiable data which can become a huge security risk.
